Who’s your Hero?
For the past 6 years, RHAM Girls Volleyball has been committed to raising funds and awareness of breast cancer research by supporting the Side-Out Foundation and the annual Dig Pink initiatives! This year marks our Seventh Annual Event! We are proud to say that last year alone, the team raised over $1,600.00 dollars to support those around us struggling with the effects of cancer. Our personal goal this year is to raise $2,015.00 in honor of the class of 2015!
This year’s campaign is themed “Hero’s” and we are supporting that by our own Dig Pink event on Friday October 17, 2014 at the RHAM High School Gymnasium in Hebron, CT. The games are scheduled for 5:00 (jv) and 6:30 (v). This is an incredibly popular community event and while October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, we look to the greater benefit of ALL cancer research and the big picture of all the Hero’s among us who have either lost the battle or continue to fight the battle.
This year we continue to celebrate those individuals but we are thrilled to include the other side of the equation: the clinical hero’s. We are proud of those members in our community who go to work each day and look for ways to extend research initiatives as well as care for those who have fought or continue to fight.
How can you help? Please join the RHAM girls volleyball team for a fun and uplifting celebration of the Hero’s among us. In addition to a fun and competitive volleyball game, the team will be selling Dig Pink t shirts; there will be a pink bake sale and an opportunity to purchase “Hero Volleyballs” identifying those you may be close to who have lost the battle or continue to fight. Also, back by popular demand is the “Paint Your Nails Pink” table!
If you are unable to attend the game but would still like to support our event, you may make a donation by simply clicking on the Side-Out Logo below. All donations made through this website will go directly to the Side-Out Foundation but the credit will be given to the team’s personal goal.
You may also mail your donation directly to RHAM High School, 85 Wall Street, Hebron, CT 06248 Attention Coach Guernsey. Checks may be made out to RHAM Volleyball, but marked Dig Pink in the memo section. RHAM Volleyball will issue one check to the Side-Out Foundation.
